Lake effect snow this afternoon (Nov. 28) could play havoc with your rush-hour commute this evening through Burlington and Oakville.

Environment Canada says the snow and strong winds could result in “significantly reduced visibility” this afternoon and at times heavy snow may be a factor.

“Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions,” the winter travel advisory warns. “If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.”

The conditions are expected to last into the late evening.
