Here is what the Burlington mayor and councillors get paid

Burlington City council received $661,595 in total remuneration last year.
A report before a recent meeting of the City’s Corporate Services, Strategy, Risk and Accountability committee outlined the cost to taxpayers for the compensation received by the mayor and six councillors.
Individually, Mayor Marianne Meed Ward topped the list earning $168,201 in salary and benefits. She spent $6,732 on general expenses including conferences.
Here is the breakdown of salary and benefits and general expenses for the rest of council from 2022.
- Ward 1 – Kelvin Galbraith — salary and benefits $78,289; expenses $3,993
- Ward 2 – Lisa Kearns — salary and benefits $78,529; expenses $9,538
- Ward 3 – Rory Nisan — salary and benefits $78,289; expenses $8,959
- Ward 4 – Shawna Stolte — salary and benefits $76,959, expenses $3,690
- Ward 5 – Paul Sharman — salary and benefits $67,526, expenses $4,918
- Ward 6 – Angelo Bentivegna — salary and benefits $71,710, expenses $4,263
