Here’s a recap of everything you need to know before heading out to the polls today, Oct. 22..

Who is eligible?

If you’re a Canadian citizen who is over the age of 18 and are a resident of Burlington, or are owner or tenant of a property in Burlington, and are not prohibited from voting by any law, you are eligible to vote today

What you need:

In order to vote people must come prepared with their voter information notices (if they received one), and personal identification that shows their name and address.

Forms of identification can include:

  • Driver’s licence or Ontario photo card
  • Ontario Health Card (photo card)
  • Mortgage statement, lease or rental agreement relating to property in Ontario
  • T4 slip or pay sub

Voting times and locations: 

To find out where you’re supposed to vote visit the city of Burlington website.

Polling locations in Burlington will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 22.

In this municipal election Burlington voters are voting to elect their mayor, regional chair, town councillor, regional councillor, and school board trustee (HDSB or HCDSB).
