Juicy Fruit, the taste is gonna move you!

If you just sang that instead of only reading it, then it’s safe to say that you’re familiar with the iconic Juicy Fruit gum jingle that orginally came out in 1986.

This jingle represented the generations of 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, however, now it is being revamped and Canadians are encouraged to weigh in.

According to a recent press release, more than 12 new jingle options were tested before it was narrowed down to the top four. These four options were chosen based on the top music genres that are currently trending on digital platforms: pop, country, hip hop, and R&B.

Canadians can vote for their favourite out of the four up until May 25, 2019.

“In an age of what’s old is new, blasts from the past and #TBT, reviving the Juicy Fruit jingle will remind Canadians of this iconic song while introducing the brand to younger Canadians who didn’t grow up listening to it,” Jaclyn Sutton, head of Marketing and Strategy at Mars Wrigley Confectionery Canada, said in the release.

“Our brand has always been about playfulness, so it was important for us to let Canadians have a say in the selection process. The new jingle campaign is a part of continuing our legacy in a creative and relevant way, that inspires collaboration, and that is true to who we are as a brand.”
