For any Milton residents who have wanted to provide input regarding the town’s transit services, your time has come.

Milton Transit is inviting residents to weigh in on the 2019-2023 Milton Transit Service Review and Master Plan Update. This plan, as noted in a recent press release, will assess and recommend service improvements, new services and technologies to support the town’s transit system.

“Milton Transit considers a number of factors when planning service improvements, including the public feedback we receive regularly,” Tony D’Alessandro, Manager, Transit, said in the release. “We encourage Miltonians to keep the conversation going to shape the future of our transit system and meet the needs of our growing community.”

In order for residents to provide their input on the plan, two drop-in community meetings are taking place on April 9.

The first meeting will be held at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton/Main Library from 2 to 4 p.m. (a presentation will take place at 2:45 pm).

The second meeting will be held at the Milton Sports Centre from 7 to 9 p.m. with a presentation at 7:45 p.m.

An online survey will also be available as of April 9 at: www.LetsTalkMilton.ca/TransitMasterPlan

As noted in the press release, everyone who completes the survey in-person or online will be entered into a draw to win a new iPad.

A draft of the service plan will be presented to town council this spring.

“Council will consider financial implications associated with the service plan as part of the 2020 budget process,” notes the release.
