Starting tomorrow (Monday, April 6), the federal government is accepting applications for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB).
The CERB will help workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic by providing $2000 a month over four months for those who are out of a job or not getting income.
As a high number of applications are expected, residents are asked to reduce the strain on the online portal by applying on a certain day corresponding to their birth month.
Residents born in January, February, and March are asked to apply on Monday; April, May, and June on Tuesday; July, August, and September on Wedenesday; and October, November, and December on Thursday.
Please note : In order to reduce the strain on the online portal , we’re asking Canadians to apply for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit on specific days of the week depending on their birth month.
