Advanced voting opportunities run from Oct. 6 to Oct. 16

Eligible voters are able to partake in advanced voting at any one of the advance voting locations regardless of where they reside in town. 

To find advanced voting locations visit the Oakville Election website.

The official voting day is Oct. 22.

In order to vote you must be a Canadian citizen, at least 18-years-old on voting day, a resident, or owner or tenant of land in Oakville, or the spouse of such owner or tenant, and not prohibited from voting by law.

When going to vote people are required to bring one acceptable piece of identification that has your name and qualifying address on it in order to receive a ballot. 

It is also recommended that voters bring their voter card to avoid delays.

If you are unsure of whether or not you’re on the voters’ list use the voter look up tool and add yourself to the list if needed.

On voting day, eligible voters can vote at any location in the ward they live in. 

Locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Voting locations will be listed online and on voting cards.
