Hey Burlington, did you go to high school with this guy?

Maybe you sat next to him in math, lined up behind him in the cafeteria, danced with him in the gym, or tackled him on the rugby field.

Some Burlington residents did and you can use this yearbook photo from the collection of the Burlington Public Library as your proof.

Actor Ryan Gosling spent at least one year attending Lester B. Pearson High School before he left in the mid-1990s to pursue his acting career.

It worked out pretty well for him.

Now 42, Gosling has gone on to star in such films as The Notebook, The Big Short, La La Land, Blade Runner 2049 and the soon-to-be-released Barbie.

While he didn’t reside in Burlington for a very long time, it seems his fans, and he himself hasn’t forgotten his roots with frequent mentions and acknowledgments of his one-time hometown.
