Highway 401 Closed Following Second Collision in Milton

Another crash has occurred in the midst of the police investigation into an initial collision that took place earlier this morning.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt reported around 11:30 a.m. that two transport trucks collided on Highway 401 eastbound near Winston Churchill, just a few kilometres away from the first crash.
This crash may have occurred due to delays and traffic caused by the first collision, Schmidt says.
One driver was trapped in his vehicle with serious injuries.

An ambulance helicopter arrived at the scene to treat and transport the patient.
The 401 eastbound is curently closed at Trafalgar Road, Schmidt reports.
Officers are on scene continuing to investigate.
