Highway lanes on St. Catharines bridge closed

(Update: The on-ramps to the QEW have reopened.)
Two skyway bridges on the Toronto-bound side of Queen Elizabeth Way highway had closures in St. Catharines and Burlington on Thursday evening (Feb. 17).
The most serious and longer-term closure with be on the Garden Skyway bridge in St. Catharines. All lanes were closed shortly before 7 p.m. following a reported head-on collision that resulted from a wrong-way driver, according to reports online. The closures are between Glendale Avenue and Niagara Street.
There was also a lane reduction earlier on the Toronto-bound QEW on the Burlington Skyway bridge. That has been cleared, according to 511on.ca.
