One of Milton’s historic homes is now up for sale.
The home at 66 Victoria Street is on the market for $3.7 million, according to realtor.ca.
Listed on Milton’s heritage register, the home is described as a “gracious ten room residence.”
It was built in 1886 by John Ezzard in true Victorian architectural style, a Milton heritage report notes.
Architectural features of note are the “buff soldier-coursing” (traditional brick detailing) around the windows and corners.
The interior is distinctive with a “spectacular English bay arch” in the dining room and high ceilings.
The home features include ornate plaster medallions and deep cornice work, four-pane lead glass windows and colonial style panel doors.
“Original pine floors are found throughout the house, as are generous 12-inch mouldings,” the report notes.
The real estate listing notes the home has been updated with modern features including stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. Yet it still maintains its original character including a grand foyer, curved entryways and custom windows.
The two-and-half-storey home has four bedrooms.
Outside, there is an in-ground pool in the backyard “oasis.”
There is also a two-car garage.
