There’s something so special about strolling around Oakville during the holiday season. 

Since opening in 1968 Burlington Centre, formerly called Burlington Mall, has undergone a lot of changes.

Now that it's November, it's officially Indigenous awareness month at the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB). 

Remembrance Day is coming up and it is important to take some time to honour those who have fought for our freedom.

There are a lot of places in the town of Oakville that deserve to be recognized.

With that being said, the number of heritage properties recognized in the town keeps on rising.

We all know where Dorval Dr. and Neyagawa Blvd. are in Oakville.

But why are these named so?

Oakville named these streets after the town's sister cities.

Burlington is known for winning and twinning — one of its sister cities is Itabashi, Japan (a suburban ward in Tokyo)
