Learn what’s in Oakville’s 2023 Budget at virtual public open house
Looking to find out more about Oakville’s plans this year for public parks and transit? Want to know what the proposed property tax hike is this year?
The Town of Oakville is hosting a virtual public open house to share highlights of the proposed 2023 Budget on Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Oakville Councillor and Budget Committee Chair Janet Haslett-Theall is hosting the event and will be on hand along with staff from the financing team to answer any questions residents, resident associations, business or community groups may have.
This year’s budget includes investments in parks and greenspace, recreation programs, transit and active transportation, parking and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
It also outlines the impact on your tax bill. Property tax bills could increase by approximately $206 per year (using the average assessed property value in Oakville of $800,000) in the proposed budget.
