A public library branch in Milton will be closed for more than two months while it undergoes a minor facelift.

The Sherwood Branch of the Milton Public Library will be temporarily closing its doors on Oct. 21 as it looks to update the space to accommodate new and future services.

The branch is scheduled to reopen Jan. 2.

During the closure, the Milton Public Library will be setting up a temporary Pop-Up Library at the Sherwood Community Centre, ensuring that library services remain accessible to the community.

The Pop-Up Library will be open from Oct. 24 to Dec. 23, providing a range of essential services, including:

  • customer service
  • self-printing
  • Chromebook lending
  • new and notable
  • holds pick-up
  • internal/external book drop

Library staff will be available to assist you during the pop-up library open hours, as well as through phone and chat with a librarian.

Programs scheduled for the Sherwood Brand will be re-scheduled to other libraries or within the SCC.
