Major road closed for a collision in Georgetown, north of Mississauga

A collision has closed a major road in Georgetown, north of Mississauga.

Winston Churchill Boulevard is closed to northbound and southbound traffic from 5 Side Road up to 10 Side Road in Georgetown for a collision investigation, Halton Regional Police Service said in a tweet today (March 3) at 8:40 a.m.

There was no information provided on injuries in the crash.

Police ask drivers to find an alternate route.

Expect traffic delays in the area.

An update will be provided when the road is reopened, police added.
