Major Roadway Closed Due to Downed Trees and Power Lines in Oakville

Severe weather conditions are continuing to affect roads and other areas this afternoon in Halton.
Severe weather conditions are continuing to affect roads and other areas this afternoon in Halton.
Police reported around 4:30 p.m. that the road is closed at Upper Middle Road and Third Line in Oakville, both eastbound and westbound, as significant wind is currently knocking down several trees, hydro poles, and power lines.
Emergency crews are on scene.
Residents are asked to avoid the area, which can be done by rerouting via Bronte Road or Fourth Line.
