Male Arrested for Attempting to Light Business on Fire in Milton

Police have arrested a male suspect following an arson attempt in Milton.
The incident took place shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday night (April 21) at a business on Main Street East.

The incident took place shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday night (April 21) at a business on Main Street East.
Police say the suspect smashed the front window, then attempted to light the premise on fire using an accelerant.

The attempt was unsuccessful and the fire went out.
Some time later, a 32 year old male from Halton Hills was located and arrested. He is charged with two counts of mischief under $5000 and one count of arson.
The suspect was held pending a bail hearing.
