The Halton Regional Police Service say a 26-year-old male has been charged with break and enter after he allegedly entered a residence while the family was asleep.

On March 25, just before 7:00 am, police say a male entered a residence in Halton Hills after a resident left the door unlocked when they left for work.

“While inside the residence, the male stole several items including iPad tablets, cellular phones, and a laptop computer,” said police. “The male left the residence undetected.”

Police say they were able to identify the suspect along with his address. On March 27, police entered the home of Brandon Carey and placed him under arrest before seizing the stolen property.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Halton police.
