Man robbed, threatened with hammer in alleged marijuana deal gone wrong in Oakville

Halton Regional Police have arrested a 24-year-old Oakville man in connection with an alleged marijuana purchase that went bad.

The incident took place at around 11:30 a.m. on Monday (July 3) when police say the victim tried to purchase a small amount of marijuana from a man in the area of Queen Mary Dr. and Bond St.

The suspect allegedly took the money from the victim and then threatened him with a hammer.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Halton police arrived on scene and made an arrest. A 24-year-old Oakville man has been charged with robbery.
