Milton District Response Unit conducting cellphone enforcement amid distracted driving campaign

In partnership with Halton Region, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has launched the fourth edition of the #ItCanWaitHalton distracted driving campaign.
The campaign, which focuses on educating the public about the risks associated with distracted driving, will also include enhanced enforcement of distracted driving legislation.
As a result, the Milton District Response Unit will be conducting cellphone enforcement throughout the month of November.
“Did you know that many of our police vehicles are equipped with multiple cameras? This driver was caught using their cellphone today,” said the Halton Regional Police Services (HRPS) account for Milton and Halton Hills on Twitter.
