Milton drivers should expect delays as construction season is in full swing.

Beginning this month, Main St., from Drew Centre to Thompson Rd. will undergo road work.

The city advises that this may cause interruptions to your trip, so please plan ahead accordingly.

Road work is anticipated to be completed by October 2023.

In addition, the storm sewer rehabilitation project is required to resolve a number of storm sewer issues at locations across town. This project is essential for maintaining sewer function, which allows for greater control during storm events.

Enhancements include concrete repairs to sewer pipe, maintenance holes and catch basins as well as infrastructure replacements including sewer pipe, and catch basin leads

Locations affected are Court St.. Frobisher Blvd., Main St. E. Ridge Dr., and Woodward Ave.

No full road closures will be required to facilitate work, however lane closures may be required to allow contractors to complete work. Local residents will receive notices if a full closure is required.

Construction timelines are dependent on many factors, including weather.

The Town of Milton is investing in community infrastructure to make your travel safe and accessible. During construction, the public is encouraged to plan travel in advance, consider alternate routes, follow signage and be patient while traveling in and around construction areas.
