The 31-year old man discovered his win two days after finding out his wife is expecting their second child.

“I bought two tickets and didn’t win on the first one. On the second ticket I thought, wow, how much did I win,” he shared, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his cheque. “I waited for the phone call from OLG and it was confirmed that I actually won $97,000.”

Jonathan called his wife while he was still at the store. “I said, ‘babe, God is definitely watching over us–meet me at the store because we just won the lottery,'” he recalled. “She was speechless.”

The labour supervisor plans to invest in property. He and his wife are also now looking for the perfect family home.

“This is a perfect time to win money; it couldn’t be better timing for my family,” he concluded.
