Milton Man Dead After Fatal Crash in Oakville

One person is reported dead following a collision in Oakville on Sunday morning.

Shortly before 4:49 a.m., a vehicle crashed into a tree on Upper Middle Road east of Dorval Drive.

Police say the driver, a 64 year old Milton man, suffered a medical episode that caused him to drive his pick up truck off the road.

The victim was taken to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

There were no other passengers in the vehicle.

The roadway was closed for four hours following the crash and has since reopened.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
