Mayor Gord Krantz said he’s disappointed with some of the recent decisions about GO bus and train service to Milton, but he’s optimistic things will eventually change.

Milton commuters have been furious since the recent changes announced by Metrolinx, the company that runs GO.

“Metrolinx has let us down again,” said Krantz during an exclusive interview with insauga.com publisher Khalen Iwamura.

“They had always advocated all-day, two-way service with GO bus and train. It’s been very, very slow to happen.”

Krantz said the decisions made by Metrolinx have not only been disappointing to him and other elected officials, but also to residents in Milton and across Halton.

“I know the whole world doesn’t revolve around the all-mighty dollar, but a lot of it does. My understanding is the economics is dictating a lot of it.”

He remains optimistic.

“It’s not a question of ‘if’ this will happen, it’s really now a question of when. There’s a big demand for this type of service.”
