Milton Woman Critically Injured After Being Struck
Witnesses are being asked to come forward as a 62-year-old Milton woman remains in critical condition after she was struck by a pickup truck in Milton.
The incident took place on Oct. 2 at 5:03 p.m.
The pedestrian was crossing at Ontario St. and Laurier Ave. when she was hit by a 2003 Dodge Dakota, driven by a 21-year-old Milton woman who was turning right onto Ontario.
The driver remained at the scene.
Speed, drugs, and alcohol weren’t factors in the collision, say Halton police.
The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and paramedics transported her to a trauma centre.
The incident remains under investigation and any witnesses who haven’t spoken to police are asked to phone Det.-Const. Greg Cormier in the collision reconstruction unit at 905-825-4747 ext. 5066.
