A Provincial grant of $149,000 to Milton’s Country Heritage park will help ensure the local community has safe and ready access to critical programming, activities, and spaces.

Milton MPP Parm Gill, announced the funding as part of the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport’s Ontario Trillium Foundation’s (OTF) Capital grant stream.

“This investment of more than $149,000 will enrich the lives of people in Milton and across Ontario,” said Gill. “Organizations such as Country Heritage Park are the pillars of our community and this funding will enable them to better serve Miltonians and continue to make a positive difference.”

Provincial funding that is received through the OTF’s Capital grant stream is intended to improve infrastructure. Whether it’s purchasing equipment, building a new space or completing renovations, retrofits or repairs, these grants support projects that are having a positive difference.

“Investments, like this, may go unnoticed because many don’t see the Tremaine Market Food Bank or the dollars invested, which lift up all individuals and families that are finding it difficult to put food on their tables, but they help organizations like ours give back to our community,” said Jamie Reaume, CEO of Country Heritage Park.

“Thank you to the Ontario government and our fellow residents for ensuring that those using our facility to feed their families and others, are being treated with respect and care, an essential component to being a citizen in Ontario.”
