Milton’s Glen Eden is officially open

Milton ski and snowboard enthusiasts will be excited to hear Glen Eden is officially open.

As of today, lifts will be running from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. for much of the holidays–they’ll be closed Christmas day.

This season’s opening day has been a highly anticipated one, and there are rumours that some diehard skiers and snowboarders will be camping out in order to ensure they get the first chair up the hill.

Additionally, Milton’s own former Olympic freestyle skier, Travis Geritts, said he plans to be there on opening day. However, he said he intends to walk up the hill with his skis in tow, having been inspired by the “earn your turns” philosophy.

“The team at Glen Eden has been working around the clock to make sure we can have as many lifts running and as much terrain open as possible for opening day,” Craig Machan, Senior Manager of Kelso/Glen Eden, said in a news release.

“We are so excited for opening day, the upcoming season and the opportunity to provide a great skiing and snowboarding experience for everyone who visits,” he continued.
