More traffic disruptions coming as construction in Burlington wraps up

The main work is almost complete, but motorists still can expect a few delays along some busy routes in a Burlington neighbourhood.

Work carried out by Halton Region began just over a year ago to upgrade the Bridgeview Wastewater Pumping Station, extend the wastewater forcemain on Plains Rd. W, Botanical Dr., and Spring Gardens Rd. , and install a watermain along Spring Gardens Rd, from Plains Rd. W to Botanical Dr.

According to Halton, the project is substantially complete, however, there is remaining work required that consists of abandoning the obsolete wastewater infrastructure on Plains Rd. W, east of Wolfe Island Bridge.

This work will result in lane restrictions along these roads for approximately one to two weeks which has now started and is expected to be completed in November.
