Motorcyclist charged on Burlington street with no license, plates and insurance

An afternoon ride Tuesday (June 4) turned to be an expensive one for two motorcyclists in Burlington.

Both motorcycles were pulled over heading along on New Street at Belvenia Road by Halton Regional Police speeding enforcement.

Police allege one motorcyclist was doing at 60 km/hr and had no license, no plates and no insurance. The motorcycle was towed.

“Driver (was) given a court date,” said Halton Police on the social media platform X.

Another motorcycle was pulled over after police allege it was doing 90km/h in a 60 km/hr Community Safe Zone.

The driver was handed a speeding ticket for $450.
