Burlington road street construction delays traffic detour

Construction work along three usually busy roads will find motorists looking for alternate routes in the days ahead.

Ongoing is a full road closure on Lakeshore Rd. between Martha St. and Pearl St.

This closure is the result of crane hosting needed for a construction project.

All traffic will be diverted onto Old Lakeshore Rd. This work is expected to be completed by 7 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 24).

Next on the list is Harvester Rd. near Burloak Dr.

This project starts today (Nov. 22) and will see a repaving of a large section of the road. As a result, there will be lane restrictions and traffic delays during that time. This work is expected to be completed on Saturday (Nov. 25)

Finally, No. 1 Sideroad between Guelph Line and Walkers Line will be fully closed from Dec. 4 to 15.

This work is needed to replace two culverts along the road. A detour around the project will be in place.
