Murder charges laid in Milton shooting with 3 outstanding suspects that fled

Halton Regional Police have charged two men while three others remain at large after a Milton home invasion on Saturday morning that left one dead.

On Feb. 19, police say a group of suspects approached a residence in the area of Gibson Cres in Milton with the intent of committing a robbery.

It is alleged that upon entering the residence the suspects were confronted by an occupant and a number of gunshots were fired inside the home.

Police say one person was pronounced deceased at the scene and shortly after, officers arrested two individuals in connection to the crime.

The first suspect, 22-year-old Ali Mian of Milton has been charged with second-degree-murder.

The second suspect, 20-year-old Romario Clarke of Oshawa has been charged with break-and-enter, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Both men are scheduled to appear in Milton Court on Tuesday (Feb. 21) 2023.

The investigation is ongoing as detectives are looking for the three individuals of interest who fled the scene in a light-coloured Dodge Charger with a sunroof and black wheels.

The identity of the homicide victim has not been released to the public as of yet.
