An arts program connecting the young with the young-at-heart is coming to Milton’s FirstOntario Arts Centre starting this weekend.

The free, six-week art program called Milton Generations Creative Exchange, is aimed at connecting seniors 55 plus and preschoolers ages 4-5.

This program was created in response to the Avenues of Action outlined in Milton’s Culture Plan and is a collaboration between Arts Milton and the FirstOntario Arts Centre.

Interested participants can register individually and will be matched with either a preschooler or senior. Each week, participants will partake in an art activity and share a snack break together.

At the end of June, the Milton Generations Creative Exchange will be invited to a public reception and have their work displayed in a gallery exhibition at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton.

The program starts Sunday, May 7, and runs every Sunday at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton in the Tim Hortons Children’s Art Studio. Registration is available online.
