News of $250,000 lottery win for Milton couple causes bedroom mishap

A couple from Milton is celebrating after winning $250,000 playing Instant Crossword Deluxe.
Alan Stevenson and Lynda Rowland have been playing the lottery together for 23 years.
“I was scratching the ticket and I noticed I was getting quite a few words. I was so happy to see we won $250,000,” said Stevenson when he picked up his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre. “Dreams really do come true.”
“He called me to tell me about the win and I started screaming. I fell out of bed and became tangled in the blanket,” said Rowland. “It hasn’t hit me yet. It’s unbelievable.”
The pair has big plans for the winnings, which includes a Harley Davidson motorcycle for Stevenson and a camping trailer for Rowland.
“We will also take a few trips. Maybe to British Columbia, Florida or Mexico,” said Stevenson.
Instant Crossword Deluxe is available for $10 a play and the top prize is $250,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.45.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Bronte Rd. in Milton.
