With the first major blast of winter expected in Milton over the next few days, the Town is reminding residents they can no longer park on the street.

Beginning earlier today, Jan. 12, on-street parking and overnight parking exceptions have been suspended.

The restrictions are in effect to allow municipal snow plows to do their jobs without interference and obstacles blocking their way.

Any vehicle that interferes with snow-clearing operations may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.

In an effort to support snow clearing operations and keep the roads clear of vehicles, temporary parking will be permitted at the following parks while on-street parking exceptions remain suspended:

  • Beaty Neighbourhood Park – South parking lot
  • Brian Best Park – North and south parking lot
  • Bronte Meadows Park
  • Clark Neighbourhood Park – North and south parking lot
  • Coates Neighbourhood Park – North and south parking lot
  • Ford Neighbourhood Park
  • Laurier Park
  • Lions Park – East parking lot
  • Optimist Neighbourhood Park
  • Scott Neighbourhood Park – East parking lot
  • Sherwood District Park
  • Willmott Neighbourhood Park

The Town’s interactive map is available to show you which parks are closest to you.

Milton residents will be able to track the progress of Town snowplows here.
