Oakville camp offering kids a morning at the movies

Kid campers from Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington and Milton can spend a morning of fun at the movies this weekend

Adventure Valley Day Camp is holding its first Camper Appreciation Event this Sunday at Cineplex Cinemas located on 3531 Wyecroft Rd in Oakville.

The traditional-style day camp for children ages 4 to 12 years old will be providing movie tickets and snacks for all campers and movie tickets for their adult supervisors.

The day will kick off with a special “Schmooze”, which is some unique camp fun.

“We so look forward to welcoming our campers to this community building event,” says Ashlee Woolfson, Adventure Valley’s Camp Director. “Building community is one of our main camp values, and it is such a pleasure to see our camp community come together before the fun of summer begins.

“We like to think of our camp as more of a family, and families gather throughout the year. Not just summertime!”

Families are invited to arrive between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., with the Schmooze set to begin at 10:20 a.m.

The movie will begin at 10:30 a.m., when doors will close.

The camp focuses on building life skills like determination, kindness and positivity an serves children in Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga and Milton.

The all-inclusive camp includes two snacks per day, lunch, and neighbourhood bus transportation.
