Surfing for tickets to that live act you want to see in town or finding out when the bus leaves at your nearest stop just got a lot easier for Oakville residents.

The websites for the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts (OCPA) and Oakville Transit have both been refreshed by the Town of Oakville.

The websites (oakvillecentre.ca and oakvilletransit.ca) have been designed to be easier to navigate and accessible on any mobile device, including laptops, tablets and phones.

Much of the functionality of the website remains the same, including access to show tickets and bus schedules on respective websites, but overall key improvements have been made.

According to the Town of Oakville, there’s a cleaner and more intuitive design to improve the overall customer experience. A simplified navigation and improved search tool helps to find information more easily

The websites also now have larger fonts and stronger colour contrast for improved accessibility.

“The refreshed Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts and Oakville Transit websites comes on the heels of the town’s recent launch of the new oakville.ca,” said Oakville Mayor Rob Burton. “The town continues to make great strides in enhancing the online experience for residents to find information more quickly and easily connect with the town.”

Efforts to refresh town websites and help residents better connect with programs, services and supports they need restarted in the spring of 2022 after having to pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new town website was launched in March of 2023 and work on improving it continues based on feedback they received from local residents.

A refresh of the investoakville.ca is also expected this summer.
