A pair of house cleaners who worked in Oakville are facing charges for allegedly stealing property belonging to the homeowners.

The suspects were arrested, charged, and released on a promise to appear.
Halton police say they received reports from a home in the Palermo area on Highvalley Rd.
That’s near Bronte Rd. and Dundas St. W.
Viola Szava, 39, and Zsolt Szava, 46, of Scarborough are charged with theft over $5,000..
Police are reminding the public of the following prevention tips:
- Use a reputable house cleaner company.
- Consider using house cleaning services that have bonded employees.
- Store valuables out of sight.
- Consider storing valuables off-site in a safety deposit box.
- Ensure your house insurance would cover such thefts.
- Consider using temporary entry codes for the cleaning service.
- Avoid services where the employees change on a regular basis.
