Oakville Man Charged in Burlington Sex Assault

An Oakville man is facing a sex assault charge after a teen was allegedly assaulted by a rideshare driver in Burlington. 

The incident took place on May 6.

The incident took place on May 6.

That’s when Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for assistance along the QEW.

The male driver, who was offering ride-sharing services from Burlington to Hamilton at the time, made unwanted sexual contact with an 18-year-old female fare, investigators allege.

Majid Kayali, 63, is charged with one count of sexual assault. 

Kayali was released on a promise to appear in Milton court on May 30.
