Oakville Man Charged in Stabbing

A 50-year-old Oakville man is facing charges in connection with a stabbing which sent a man to hospital.

Halton police responded to a call at a home on Churchill Ave. in the early morning hours of Oct. 23.
The male victim was taken to hospital – where he was treated for a puncture wound – and released the same evening.
The victim and the accused know each other, say investigators.
Officers executed a search warrant at two homes on Churchill Ave. and Elm Rd. and arrested a suspect.
David Thompson is charged with aggravated assault and failing to comply with a weapons prohibition.
He’s scheduled to appear in Milton court on Tuesday.
