Oakville resident creating unique Canadian tourist attraction

An Oakville resident is bringing the charm of Canadian cities together in a unique and interesting way.
Jean-Louis Brenninkmeijer, found of Our Home and Miniature Land, has been working with his team to build a place where individuals can experience all of Canada in as little as a few hours.
The attraction, known as “Little Canada,” is a celebration of all things Canada, according to the website.
“It is a journey of discovery through the sites and sounds of our great country in miniature scale,” the website says.
Additionally, the website describes it as a place “that will unleash your childlike sense of wonder, discovery and curiosity.”
Brenninkmeijer and his team hope to entertain the public with a magical journey of discovery by seeing Canadian cities from a different perspective.

This vast, highly detailed and animated miniature world is filled with wonders from Little Niagara, Little Golden Horseshoe, little Toronto, Little Ottawa and Petit Quebec.
Visitors will also get to experience a sneak peek into the progress of the Little North.
The website indicates that once the attraction opens up, every year or two after, a new destination will be open until the entire journey reaches across the country, coast-to-coast-to-coast.
Future destinations include Little East Coast, Little Prairies, Little Rockies, Little West Coast and Petit Montreal.
From well-known landmarks to famous sites, the attraction is meant to be meaningful and exciting for all ages.
Guests will be able to take in the iconic, twinkling cityscapes and truly connect with Canada under one roof and in just one afternoon.
Additionally, they will be able to immerse themselves in Little Niagara, listen to the majestic roar of Horseshoe Falls and explore the iconic Clifton Hill and the charming town of Niagara-on-the Lake.
Highway 401 can be seen in this miniature alongside a stunning display of autumn colours and trees that surround Southwestern Ontario.
The website states that 180,000 hours of work will have been put into the build of Little Canada for launch.
Little Canada is set to open this year when it’s safe to do.
