Part of a major road is closed in Oakville due to a dump truck fire.

Halton police say Tremaine Rd. is closed in both directions just north of Dundas St W due to the blaze.

Halton police say Tremaine Rd. is closed in both directions just north of Dundas St W due to the blaze.

Residents are asked to avoid the area until further notice. 

UPDATE: 

Police say Tremaine Rd. has now re-opened in both directions.
