Oakville woman arrested following hit-and-run that injured senior

Halton police has charged a driver wanted in connection with a pedestrian hit and run incident in Oakville.

On Feb. 18 at about 6:30 p.m., police responded to a reported hit and run accident near the intersection of Kingsway Dr. and Winterbourne Dr. in Oakville.

Investigators determined that an elderly female was stuck by a vehicle which fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries and continues to recover. Investigation was undertaken by the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau with a suspect identified.

On Friday, Mar. 1, Jenna Tedesco, 36, of Oakville, was arrested and charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm.

An upcoming court date has been set for April 2, 2024.
