Oakville Woman Charged in ‘Brazen’ Robbery

An Oakville woman is one of two suspects facing charges after a “brazen” daylight robbery.

The incident took place on March 29 before noon.

Halton police were sent to an apartment near Bronte Rd. and Dundas St.

That’s where a female suspect tricked the male victim by pretending a door was stuck and asking for his help, police allege.

The victim was then assaulted and robbed of his cellphone before escaping to a nearby construction site.

Responding officers found the suspect, who was with a man.

He assaulted two officers before fleeing on foot, investigators allege.

But the canine unit tracked him down and both suspects were handcuffed.

The victim has minor injuries and his phone was found by police.

Felicia Housen, 26, of Oakville is charged with: robbery with violence; forcible confinement; possession of property obtained by crime; resist arrest.

Cory Omar Chung, 22, of no fixed address, is charged with: assault peace officer; assault peace officer cause bodily harm; possession of property obtained by crime; escape lawful custody; obstruct police; fail to comply with undertaking; possession of controlled substance (cocaine).

Both suspects were held for bail.
