Occupants assaulted during Milton home invasion, police hunting culprits

The occupants of a Milton home were assaulted during a a targetted home-invasion yesterday.

According to Halton police, around midnight on Sunday, Jan. 14, three suspects entered a home on Commercial St. in Milton via an unlocked front door.

The suspects were wearing masks and were armed with handguns. They assaulted the occupants of the house and made demands for cash. Personal property was taken.

The victims did not suffer serious physical injuries as a result of the incident.

Investigators believe the home invasion was targeted.

The suspects were described as three young black males, possibly Somalian (as one of the suspects spoke in Somalian during the attack). They were driving a black SUV.

Investigators are appealing to the public for any dash cam footage near the intersection of Commercial St. and Derry Rd. W. from 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, to 1 a.m. on Saturday.
