One dead in motorcycle crash in Halton Hills

A fatal two-vehicle crash between a motorcycle and car on Friday afternoon in Halton Hills sent one driver to the hospital with minor injuries while another was pronounced dead at the scene.

On June 2 shortly before 3 p.m., police responded to to a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a four-door Sedan near the intersection of Nassagaweya Esquesing Townline and Number 25 Sideroad, in Halton Hills.

According to the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) lifesaving efforts were made, however, the motorcycle driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Sedan suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The identities of those involved in the crash have not been made public by police.

Officers say the intersection and surrounding roads were closed for approximately six hours for  investigation.

Several witnesses remained at the collision scene. However, police are looking to speak with anyone else who witnessed the incident (and did not remain on the scene) or may have dashcam video in the area at the time of the collision.
