One person airlifted to hospital after serious crash in Halton Hills

A serious collision is being investigated this evening.

Shortly after 8:00 p.m., police reported a crash at Ninth Line and 32 Side Road in Halton Hills.

Shortly after 8:00 p.m., police reported a crash at Ninth Line and 32 Side Road in Halton Hills.

One person has been airlifted to hospital with currently unknown injuries.

The roadway is closed and Halton Police’s collision reconstruction team is attending the scene to investigate.

Residents are asked to avoid the area until further notice.


UPDATE:

Police say the 80 year old Erin woman who was airlifted to a trauma centre remains in critical condition at this time.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were brought to Georgetown Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police are asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747, ext. 5065.
