Ontario reports 1,589 new COVID-19 cases today, 42 in Halton

Halton Region is reporting 42 new cases of COVID-19 today (Nov. 23).

Milton has recorded 23 new cases while Oakville has nine.

Burlington also has nine new cases of the virus while Halton Hills has one.

A total of 54 people have died in the Halton Region because of the pandemic.

In total, Halton Public Health is dealing with 594 active cases.

A total of 2,657 cases have been resolved in the Halton Region and 54 have passed away due to the virus.

Today, Ontario is reporting 1,589 cases of COVID-19, with 535 new cases in Peel, 336 in Toronto and 205 in York Region.

There are 1,484 more resolved cases.

According to the province, nearly 37,500 tests have been completed in the last 24 hours.
