Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga is the go-to spot for family entertainment

Those who enjoy the energy of a live concert and the thrill of live sporting events, may want to check out Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga.

Paramount Fine Foods Centre, which is owned and operated by the City of Mississauga, first opened in October 1998. Formerly known as the Hershey Centre, the facility, located at 5500 Rose Cherry Pl., has become the premier sports and entertainment centre in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Back in 2007, an expansion, which is now known as the Sportsplex, celebrated its official opening. Along with a triple gymnasium, fitness centre and meeting space, the complex also includes a full-size FIFA indoor artificial turf across 200,000 square feet of space.

From its affordable pricing to its 5,100 seat arena, this family-friendly entertainment complex has a little something for everyone.

Celebrity Status

To date, the facility has welcomed over four million guests, has hosted over 3,000 events and featured performances by renowned artists and celebrities such as Green Day, Russell Peters, Chris Brown, The Tragically Hip, B.B. King and the White Stripes.

Along with welcoming big industry names, the entertainment centre has also hosted several community events such as the annual Carassauga Festival, which draws roughly 100,000 visitors to the centre in Mississauga.

Affordable Family Entertainment

From sports events to live music and even comedy shows, the facility features a variety of entertainment for reasonable prices. Tickets can be conveniently purchased online, where guests will be able to select their seats from a seating map.

Selecting seats is easy and works great with their mobile ticket delivery system with Ticketmaster.

Mobile ticketing prioritizes safety, security, and quick and easy entry to the arena using your mobile phone or a smart device.

Filter seats by price, use promotion codes, and purchase special ticket packages – all for an affordable night out.

Home to the Mississauga Steelheads and Raptors 905 Teams

The Paramount Fine Foods Centre is home to both the Mississauga Steelheads of the Ontario Hockey League and the Raptors 905 basketball team, which is part of the official minor league of the NBA, called the NBA G League.

Along with making it to the playoffs five times in the last six seasons (with the exception of the cancelled season due to the COVID-19 pandemic), the Raptors 905 has also won MVP, DPOY, Coach of the Year and Franchise of the Year awards in their first five seasons.

The Toronto Raptors championship team even featured eight players with NBA G League experience, five of which played for the Raptors 905.

The facility is also home to the Steelheads, which features Nicolas Hague, who was selected in the second round of the 2014 OHL Priority Selection.

Hague was drafted 34th overall in the NHL to the Vegas Golden Knights and has been a regular on their roster since 2020.

The team also featured Owen Tippett, who was drafted fourth overall in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection and was with the team for three and a half years. Tippett currently holds five Steelheads records, including most goals scored in a single season and records for power play goals, power play points and shots on goal.

Free Parking

What better way to enjoy an evening out than with free parking? No need to worry about parking meters or finding a spot to park at on the street. The facility features a wide range of parking, that is conveniently located outside of the facility so that guests can simply enjoy their events stress-free.
