Two popular apparatus at a popular Burlington playground are broken and off-limits to children.

Both the zipline and the water feature at Dofasco Waterjet Plaza at Spencer Smith Park are closed as unplanned repairs are taking place.

There is no time frame on when they will be ready for use.

The City of Burlington has not revealed the reason behind the repairs that are needed for the zipline and the water feature.

Recently the City has had to make repairs at other Burlington parks due to vandalism.

At Lowville Park, urinals have been ripped out of bathroom walls in response to a viral video challenge on TikTok.

Vandals have also made their presence felt recently at Leighland Park and Central Park where damage has slowed construction projects and led to the closure of a playground.

As alternatives to the waterjet plaza, you can follow this link to see where other splash pads and pools exist in Burlington for public use.
