Police charged 20 people for speeding on Boxing Day in Milton

Boxing Day was a busy day for speed enforcement in Milton.

Halton Police revealed that they laid charges against 20 drivers on Sunday (Dec. 26) in relation to speeding offences on Trafalgar Road.

Police took the opportunity to remind motorists to slow down.

“No Boxing Day deal is worth a ticket or worse… a collision. Please slow down. Arrive Alive.” said police.

Penalties for speeding in Ontario include fines, demerit points, as well as license suspension and car impoundment for more serious speeding offences.

The exact nature of each of the 20 speeding offences on Sunday was not disclosed by police.
